If you’ve never driven a classic campervan be prepared for a different kind of driving experience. The campervans were designed and built in the 1970’s so they don’t come with power steering or ABS. The controls are heavier compared to a modern vehicle, and the driving position takes a bit of getting used to as you’ll be sitting on top of the front wheels. The gears also take a little practice – they are there even though sometimes they may seem to be eluding you! Top speed is 55mph, so allow ample time for your journey – after all what’s the rush! Be vigilant on the road and allow more time for braking and gear changing. After a short while you’ll have mastered things and you’ll find it hard to wipe the smile off your face as you enjoy a truly unique driving experience.

Yes, you’re welcome to leave your vehicle on our site at your own risk.

To book and pay for one of the campervans, simply go through the online booking process and pay direct and securely with your debit or credit card. You can choose to pay the full amount or a deposit of £150, with the remaining amount paid 6 weeks prior to the hire date.

We will require you to pay an up front damage deposit of £500 to cover any damage or loss to the campervan. This is refundable within 7 days of the safe return of the campervan.

In the unlikely event that something does happen, please notify us by telephone immediately. If we need to take the van for repair, this could mean the end of your hire period. Please see our Terms & Conditions for more information. If the accident is deemed your fault you will lose some or all of your damage deposit.

We have European breakdown cover with the RAC, please call them initially on 0330 159 0740. Following that, please also call us and we will help to resolve the situation. In the unlikely event of the campervan having to be recovered, we will do our best to find you a suitable replacement. In peak times however, we may have to accept that this could spell the end of your trip. If this were to happen we will refund the remainder of your hire and will arrange collection for you.

One well behaved dog is allowed at an extra cost of £25.

Collection is after 2pm and drop off is before 11am. If for some reason you are going to be late, please call and let us know. We only have a short window to get the campervan ready for the next guest. Late returns may result in additional charges.

Due to covid restrictions we are unable to provide sheets, bedding and pillows so please bring these with you. As the campervans are quite compact it’s best to think about what to pack – lots of bags and suitcases will mean less space for you! The campervans come equipped with saucepans, plates, cups and cutlery, a table, 2 folding chairs, and a 2 man tent. We also provide a welcome pack to get you started on your trip.

We have many years experience driving campervans around Ireland. Just let us know what you’re after and we can point you in the right direction. A useful app which is worth downloading is ‘Park 4 night’.
